Summer and winter club kitwinter kit

NB: With winter kit it is wise to ‘size up one’ – compared to summer kit – for anything above the waist. So, if you take a ‘medium’ in a summer jersey there’s a good chance you’ll need a ‘large’ in the winter version. The winter clothing isn’t as stretchy as the summer clothing and we tend to wear more below it. If your summer jersey is fairly loose fitting on you, you’re probably okay with the same size for all seasons. Below the waist (i.e. shorts and tights) the same size should be right for all seasons.

NB: The fitted winter jacket is not listed in separate men’s and women’s sizes. The men’s sizing for this garment is ‘one size up’ from the women’s sizing i.e. it is the same as “women’s ‘summer sizing”. If you take a “women’s medium” for a summer jersey, you will take a ‘medium’ for a Fitted winter jacket and (just to confuse matters) a “women’s large” for the non-fitted Winter jacket, Fitted gilet and Thermal long-sleeved jersey.

clothing care

It is recommended you care for your Old Bleach kit by doing the following:

  • Wash at 30° (or lower)
  • Wash as soon as possible after use
  • Wash after every use (you can probably get away with wearing mitts a couple of times per wash)
  • Do not leave clothing ‘sitting in a wet heap’
  • Turn clothing inside out for washing
  • In the case of jerseys, zip up fully in addition to turning inside out
  • Wash bib-shorts in a mesh laundry bag
  • Do not put any Velcro in the wash with your cycling garments
  • Do not use any fabric softeners
  • Dry only by hanging
  • Do not wring to dry
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry in direct sunlight
  • Do not under any circumstances even consider ironing any cycle clothing for obvious reasons
